Somerton Park
Somerton Park is a long established retirement village / aged care site located 14 kilometres south west of the Adelaide CBD. The village faced major challenges with building blocks that were not perceived to be meeting the current or future needs of residents. Also, future adjacent expansion opportunities were presenting.
A detailed audit was undertaken of the site existing building and services, including functional assessment, physical condition, site opportunities and constraints, and regulatory contexts. Extensive consultation was undertaken with various stakeholders to allow a detailed return brief to be prepared.
A range of future development options were presented before a detailed master plan was prepared for the site.
